Estación de Esquí La Pinilla
2 de Diciembre de 2008La estación de esquí de La Pinilla está situada en la Sierra de Ayllón del Sistema Central (España). Enclavada en la provincia de Segovia, es la estación de esquí más meridional de Castilla y León.
La estación se divide en varias zonas; Zona del Bosque (1500m-1800m): con pistas difíciles que transcurren por bosques de pinos.
Zona 1500 (1500m-1600m): cuenta con el núcleo urbano de la estación en el que hay todo tipo de servicios; alojamiento, restaurantes, bares, taquillas, tiendas, alquileres, escuelas de esqui… y con varias pistas fáciles equipadas con sistemas de nieve artificial.
Zona Testero (1700m-1920m): zona familiar con pistas fáciles y sencillas, también se sitúa el snow-park en esta zona, que es uno de los tres existentes en el centro de la península.
Zona del Gran Plató (1800m): Centro neurálgico de la estación de donde parten la mayoría de los remontes y en ella está situada el área de debutantes que cuenta con restaurante y dos escuelas de esquí.
Zona del Mirador (1800m-2050m): Cuenta con pistas de considerable dificultad en las faldas del Pico del Lobo, siendo la zona que más nieve suele conservar.
Dispone de los servicios habituales para este tipo de centros, servicios publicos, dos bares, una cafetería, un restaurante, oficina de información, taquillas,alquileres, 1 albergue, 3 escuelas de esqui y snow-board… pero además se pueden realizar excursiones a zonas de interés, como el bosque de hayas más meridional de Europa, o el Palacio de Contreras, del siglo XV, situado en Ayllón.
La Estación de La Pinilla está situada a 13 km de la localidad de Riaza y a 8 Km de Cerezo de Arriba, término municipal al que pertenece.
Se accede por la carretera N-I desvió en el km. 104 por la N-110 hasta pasar la desviación a Cerezo de Arriba, que está la bifurcación que conduce a la Estación Invernal.
