Festibike 2008 en Las Rozas

El fin de semana del 19, 20 y 21 de septiembre, Las Rozas acoge la gran fiesta de la bicicleta, Festibike 2008. Este municipio ha sido escogido para el desarrollo de este festival por su buena accesibilidad, la proximidad a Madrid, sus infraestructuras y sus servicios de transporte público. Nueva localización, nueva imagen y más de 30 actividades participativas en las que la máxima protagonista será la bicicleta. Un festival que nace con la vocación de brindar al amante de la bicicleta y a todo el sector, la posibilidad de estar a la última en este deporte y de disfrutar de las distintas propuestas. Las marcas más destacadas del sector no se quieren perder esta renovada edición, Specialized, Trek, Scott, Motordealer, Orbea, BH, Spiuk, Conor, B-PRO, Monty, o Catlike entre muchas otras ya han confirmado su presencia en Festibike 2008.
Todos los que asistan a Festibike podrán disfrutar de las máximas figuras del ciclismo y del espectáculo que brindarán durante la jornada. Esta etapa dará paso a los dos puertos de primera categoría, el Puerto de Navacerrada, por su vertiente madrileña y el Puerto de Navafría, últimos jueces para el podium final en el Paseo de la Castellana.
Además, el sábado 20 de septiembre los amantes del ciclismo de carretera tienen una nueva cita en el Recinto Ferial de Las Rozas. Desde allí se dará la salida a la marcha cicloturista que Festibike y Contador han preparado para esta fiesta de la bicicleta. El recorrido de 120 kilómetros cuenta con una cronoescalada lanzada al puerto de Abantos en la que los participantes podrán medir sus fuerzas. Los transponders colocados en las bicicletas de los participantes facilitarán el tiempo real de ascensión de cada ciclista a esta mítica cima.
Los olímpicos, Chema Martínez y Joan Llaneras, participarán en la increíble marcha cicloturista que se ha diseñado este año. Llaneras se ha ofrecido a marcar el ritmo del atleta Chema Martínez ante su reto de subir Abantos. El recorrido que transcurrirá por la Sierra de Madrid incluye una cronoescalada lanzada aprovechando la ascensión al puerto de Abantos.
