Ocio Sierra Madrid: Viajazz, Festival Internacional de Jazz de Collado Villalba

La sexta edición del Festival Internacional de Collado Villalba, Viajazz 2008, vuelve a congregar del 10 al 12 de julio a artistas consagrados del panorama musical.

El guitarrista, pianista y compositor británico John McLaughlin abrirá el certamen, en uno de los dos únicos conciertos que dará en España este año, para deleitar a muchas generaciones de seguidores que le consideran un guía y descubridor de géneros.

Spyro Gyra banda formada a principios de los 70 en Buffalo, Nueva York, con más de 25 discos publicados y 10 millones de copias vendidas, pondrá el broche final a esta primera jornada. Una oportunidad única para disfrutar de esta formación que lleva más de 10 años sin aparecer por nuestro país.

El día 11 Vicente Amigo será el protagonista del festival. Desde que publicó su primer disco en 1991, el artista andaluz está considerado como uno de los grandes imaginativos de la guitarra flamenca, y su carrera ha caminado en una constante progresión hasta llegar al esperado Un momento en el sonido, que marca su cénit creativo y su consagración como uno de los grandes. Grammy Latino al mejor disco de flamenco en 2001 y Premio Ondas 2.002, avalan, entre otros galardones, su trayectoria.

Marlango, con Leonor Watling, Alejandro Pelayo y Oscar Ybarra a la cabeza, serán los encargados de cerrar Viajazz 2008, y estarán el próximo martes en la presentación del festival. Su tercer trabajo discográfico, The Electrical Morning confirma su madurez e invita a considerar a la banda con un sonido e identidad propia que les augura un carismático y expectante futuro.
