Camino Schmidt: de Navacerrada a Cercedilla
5 de Marzo de 2008Esta ruta parte desde el puerto de Navacerrada , aunque también se puede hacer en sentido contrario. Se sube por la carreterita asfaltada que parte al lado de Venta Arias, a la izquierda del puerto y se llega a la pista de esquí de El Escaparate, desde donde parte el Camino marcado con círculos amarillos en el tronco de algunos árboles. Aquí hay que tener precaución en no equivocarse de camino, pues hay una bifurcación y parten dos caminos en paralelo. El superior es el inicio de la pista de esquí de fondo y el inferior el que se debe tomar.
La senda discurre en un recorrido casi llano, en ligero descenso, por la cara norte de Siete Picos. Al poco se pasa la pista de El Bosque y comienza el pinar, salvando algunos arroyuelos como el de El Telégrafo.
Se sigue por la senda en medio de un denso pinar de pino silvestre, con enebros, piornos y líquenes. Se pasan la pradera de Navalusilla, que va a quedar a la derecha en una suave caída verde (45 minutos desde el comienzo). Desde aquí, el camino empieza a picar un poco para arriba, se pasan algunas pedreras y se llega hasta una bifurcación (3 km y 1 hora y 15 minutos).
En este punto se pueden seguir dos caminos.
Si se toma el camino que, a mano izquierda y siguiendo las señales amarillas, inicia una corta pero dura ascensión, se llega al Collado Ventoso tras hacer unas curvas cerradas (3,5 km y 1 hora y 30 minutos). El collado, con una pequeña pradera, se denomina así por encajarse los vientos en esta zona, denotándolo los pinos con porte abanderado, más pequeños y cortas ramas.
Desde aquí comienza el descenso y ya se accede al valle de La Fuenfría. Al poco, una senda empieza a mano izquierda también marcada con señales amarillas, es la senda de Alevines, que no hay que tomar.
Se desciende por el pinar hasta atravesar la Carretera de la República (4,5 km y 2 horas) y posteriormente, en fuerte pendiente en varios zigzag hasta las inmediaciones del Chalet de la RSEA Peñalara en la pradera de los Corralillos (5,5 km y 2 horas y 30 minutos).
Si por el contrario. En la bifurcación tomamos el ramal de la derecha, se llanea por la senda de los Cospes. Tras rodear el cerro Ventoso por su vertiente norte, se llega al Puerto de la Fuenfría. Aquí hay que descender por la Calzada Romana, en un descenso rápido entre el pinar, se gira a la derecha y se llega al Puente de Enmedio. Aquí la Calzada gira a la izquierda y en un tramo muy deteriorado, con piedras sueltas, tierra resbaladiza y retamas que han invadido el camino se alcanza la pradera de los Corralillos, punto final de la Senda.

Buenas,
nosotros cuando hemos hecho esta ruta lo que hemos hecho ha sido coger el funicular de Cercedilla a Navacerrada dejando el coche en Cercedilla para recogerlo a la vuelta. Ojo, que cuando crees que has terminado la ruta te queda todavía un buen trecho hasta el coche.
Otra opción es llevar dos coches y dejar uno en la zona de las presillas de Cercedilla.

Cercedilla y su entorno es uno de los lugares mas maravillosos de la sierra madrileña, ofrece de todo en todas las estaciones del año, probad a ir entre semana y vereis lo que es tranquilidad de verdad, un saludo a los que sabeis apreciar la sierra, y no os olvideis de conservarla.

Nosotros queremos ir desde Cercedilla con niños de 7 años.
Me podeis indicar cuanto se tarda desde El Escaparate hasta Cercedilla y ctos km hay???.
Cada uno dice una cosa distinta ( unos 10 km, otros 17 km y otro tanto ocurre con las horas…)

Hola Isabel, no sabría decirte tiempos y kilómetros (¿unas 3 horas y 12km. quizás?), hace mucho tiempo que lo hice, pero no se yo si no será demasiado para niños de 7 años. A lo mejor esto te ayuda

Yo las veces que lo he hecho he cogido el tren de Cercedilla hasta Navacerrada y así hemos hecho el camino de bajada desde Navacerrada a Cercedilla.

I must say, as very much as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a good grasp around the topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from a lot more than 1 angle.
